In designing this piece, Van drew inspiration from his heritage using the colors of the Myanmar flag, patterns inspired by traditional fabrics, and the Myanmar hornbill with its wings outstretched—a powerful symbol of his roots. Van’s favorite Bible verses are incorporated into the shorts to finish the design.
